Land and Water Rower for ...

Rowing is a unique life-long exercise that will help you stay fit, flexible,
and injury free. It is the only moving sport that involves "symmetrical and
simultaneous" body movement. This means that you work both sides of your
body at the same time, AND engage all of your major muscle groups in the
same direction. Unlike running that pounds one set of knee and ankle joints
at a time, rowing engages all of your leg and back muscles at the same time.
As a result, you can row longer and get a better workout, without
overworking any one joint or muscle group. Biking, golf, hiking, skiing, and
even swimming are great outdoor exercise alternatives, but compared to
rowing they all tend to put excessive load on one or two sets of muscles.

There are millions of indoor machine rowers who have never enjoyed the
benefits of outdoor rowing. Sliding seat rowing, or sculling, has not been
an exercise alternative for most people because traditional sculling boats
are either too narrow and tippy, or too wide and heavy to carry. Enter the
FlexiRower - the first floatable, portable rower that will fit in a boat you
can row. The FlexiRower weighs about 15 pounds, can be placed in almost any
kind of boat you might want to row, and requires no special brackets or
attachments -- and when you are finished it easily collapses to fit in a 36"
duffel bag. Here's more information about the FlexiRower.
With the Flexirower you can enjoy relaxing exercise in your favorite row boat,
dinghy sailboat, inflatable, fishing skiff, or even surf board. Drop it in the
boat, set your foot posts, snap in the riggers and you're off.
Or you can just row the Flexirower in front of your favorite home movie in the
comfort of your own home. The padded handle, quiet tension of the adjustable
tension shock cords, and padded tractor seat allows you to get in shape while
being entertained.
And the Rowing 101 CD will quickly help improve your rowing technique, whether
you row on land or water.
